After international protests were held demanding the return of children who were taken away from their “radical” Christian parents, the Norwegian government last week agreed to let the children go home.

There is good news out of Norway for supporters of religious freedom and parental rights: Marius and Ruth Bodnariu will soon be reunited with all their children.
MIKE DONNELLYDirector of Global OutreachThe Bodnariu family became the focus of global activism when Norwegian authorities removed all five children from their home in November 2015, citing the parents’ Christian beliefs and the fact they occasionally spanked their children.

The Bodnariu family’s ordeal ends, but advocates vow to keep fighting for reforms.
A child welfare case in Norway that has been grabbing headlines and stirring protests worldwide came to a sudden end late last week.
The story, which I covered in depth for The Federalist in April, centers on Marius and Ruth Bodnariu and their five young children. Marius, a Romanian citizen, and Ruth, a native Norwegian, first ran afoul of Norway’s child protective services (called Barnevernet) in November 2015. After privately interviewing the family’s two oldest daughters at school, Barnevernet abruptly took all five children into emergency custody: first the girls, then the younger boys, and finally the three-month-old baby.

That seems to be the attitude of Solveig Horne, the Norwegian Minister of Children and Equality, as if the Bodnariu case was just any other CPS case.
She said as reported by The Local: “I’m glad to hear that the parents and Barnevernet have come to an agreement and will cooperate so that the children can move back in with their parents. Incredibil, pe pagina de Facebook veti găsi o postare în data de 3 iunie, ziua când Marius si Ruth Bodnariu au fost anunțați că vor primi copiii înapoi.
Ce e si mai incredibil este că Barnevernet a făcut postarea în LIMBA ROMÂNĂ! Probabil primesc un “ajutor” important și de la românii care se bucură de “libertatea” norvegiană și de interesul “superior” al copilului!
